We had yet another exciting show at Harrogate this year, as we unveiled a complete range of new products to the visitors, which was well received by retailers, contractors and the press alike.
Our show-stopping stand showcased our extensive range of luxury vinyl tiles in various formats including stone effect and mosaic tiles and wood effect planks, herringbone and parquet products, including our core flagship Landscape and Aspect collections, which boast 0.7mm and 0.55mm wear layers, being warm underfoot and family and pet-friendly.
As well as the core gluedown range, we also showed our SPC Click range, Heartridge, which makes the Distinctive range suitable for any installation including wet rooms and spaces which are subjected to extreme heat and cold such as conservatories. With a 0.7mm wear layer, Heartridge is durable, offering true longevity, and to back this up, it comes with a lifetime residential warranty for your peace of mind.
From a design perspective, Heartridge benefits from bevelled edges and a registered emboss, for an authentic-looking finish and is easy to clean and maintain, making it a perfect solution for busy homes. As well as this, it can also be installed over underfloor heating, to give extra warmth and cosiness in the colder months.
Over the course of the show, visitors to the stand also got to meet key members of the Distinctive team including Callum Hopkirk, Frank Hobbs and Sam Luxton, who work closely with our retailers and contractors. The team were pleased to see familiar faces at the show, as well as meeting some new contacts, and they look forward to continuing to provide support as we look to 2020.
A key highlight for us during this year’s show was winning Gold in The Flooring Innovation Awards in the ‘Design – Smooths’ category for our beautiful Tapestry Collection which launches later this year. Comprising of 16 individual 9" x 9" mosaic style tiles offered in 6 colours, they can be used alone for an eye-catching flooring option, or alongside the matching Shoreline tiles or Wildwood planks to create a truly unique look in any space.
A firm favourite of visitors to the stand, as well as the in house team, we’re more than thrilled that Tapestry has been awarded this accolade and can’t wait to see the range used in both residential and commercial installations across the country.
We were also proud to support the show’s Trend Hub, with our stunning Suburb planks from the Aspect Urban Collection taking pride of place in the ‘Traveller’ room set.
Designed by Apricot Lime Interior Design, the Art Deco inspired Traveller room set showcased ‘an understated glamour’ which demonstrates ‘our attempts to bring order and control into our lives at a time of great uncertainty’, as we enter the roaring 2020’s. Mixing an opulent colour palette with luxurious textures such as crushed velvet, marble and moody dark woods, the room set demonstrated Distinctive’s product beautifully in situ, helping visitors to visualise the product in a realistic installation.
With this year’s Flooring Show being another great success for us here at Distinctive, we’re already beginning to plan for next year's show and are looking forward to introducing visitors to more new product ranges in 2020.
